Dancing to the tunes of rain drops!!

Jaisa filmo main hota hain aaj kuch vaisa hi kiya...bilcul Raj Kappor ki tarah !! I was returning from the office in chennai....n suddenly it started raining for the very first time . Just before it started ,I downplayed the idea of getting rains in Chennai as i had always been doing till that time. I got down from the bus  and went straight to have garam garam Samosas while completely ignoring the dark clouds hovering over me.

My P.G is located some distance away from the bus stop. The moment I completed eating the not so common samosa of Chennai, it started pouring in heavily. I somehow got into a subway which took me to the other side of the road. But rain god had decided to completely bliss the land of chennai with generous gallons of water...barish rukne ka naam hi nahi le rahi thi. I got bored there waiting for it to stop.

Then some how idea of taking the shoes off n walking in the rains with naange pav came to me. Although that day I was also carrying the company's lappy with me, I decided to go ahead with the idea. I took off my shoes, removed socks and started walking in blissful rain. Those 10 mins were the most happy moments of my existence in Chennai. I was drenched, my lappy bag was full with water, but I was not complaining and infact I was singing this song..........

" Main Zindagi ka saath nibhata chala gaya...har fikra ko dhuaye main udaata chala gaya" !!

Why postpone happiness to tomorrow?

Every living creature wants to be happy. Whether it is money, power or sex, you get into it for the sake of happiness. Some people even enjoy misery because it gives them happiness!

To be happy, you seek something. But despite getting it, you are not happy. A school-going boy thinks that if he goes to college, he will be more independent, free and, therefore, happy. If you ask a college-going boy whether he is happy, he feels that if he gets a job, he will be happy. Talk to somebody who is settled in his job or business, and you will find that he is waiting to get a perfect soul- mate to be happy. He gets a soul-mate, but he now wants a kid to be happy. Ask those who have children if they are happy. And they say: how can they relax until the children have grown up and have had a good education and are on their own? Ask those who are retired and done with all their responsibilities if they are happy? They long for the days when they were younger.

All of one's life is spent in preparing to be happy someday in the future. It's like making a bed all night, but having no time to sleep in it. How many minutes, hours and days of your life have you spent being happy from within? Those are the only moments you have really lived life. Those were perhaps the days when you were a small kid, completely blissful and happy or a few moments when you were surfing, swimming or sailing or on a mountain top, living in the present and enjoying it.

There are two ways of looking at life. One is thinking: "I'll be happy after achieving a certain objective." The second is saying: "I am happy come what may!" Which one do you want to live by?

Life is 80 per cent joy and 20 per cent misery. But you hold on to the 20 per cent and make it 200 per cent ! It is not a conscious act, it just happens. Living in the moment with joy, alertness, awareness and compassion is enlightenment. Being like a child is enlightenment. It is being free from within, feeling at home with everybody, without barriers.

Don't judge and don't worry about what others think of you. Whatever they think, it is not permanent. Your own opinion about things and people keeps changing all the time. So why worry about what others think about you? Worrying takes a toll on the body, mind, intellect and alertness. It is like an obstruction that takes you far away from yourself. It brings fear and fear is nothing but a lack of love. It is an intense sense of isolation.

This can be handled by relaxing and doing some breathing exercises. Then you will realise that you are loved, you are a part of everybody and you are a part of the whole universe." This will liberate you and the mind will take a complete shift. You will then find so much harmony around.

To find harmony, it is not as if you have to physically seek it by sitting somewhere for years. Whenever you are in love, your mind is in the present, you feel joyous. At some level, to some degree, everybody is meditating without being aware of it. There are moments when your body, mind and breath are all in harmony. That's when you achieve yoga. The art of living lies in the present moment.

2012: The End is near

It's dark.It's meneacing.It's devastating.It's annihilating.It's crushing.It's breathtaking.It's 2012.

Woh what a hell of a movie. This movie has completely blown me away from my feet. The decision to watch it 1st day 1st show was indeed one of the better decisions of my life as i wl get that lil extra time to look world in different perspective altogether as it asks you the mother of all questions, what if we were to die in 2012...

Extreme graphics, superb acting, n plot makes it a must watch. It wins all Academy awards in my dictionary of acting, action, direction, graphics,story-telling.It keeps you glued to your sit right till the last reel rolls out.

Story goes lyk this...I was surfing Tv channels at night and ryte at the very moment battery of my remote went flat ...when channel says Aaj Tak...Sabse Tej.Welcome to our show "Tabhai ka Sukrawar(friday)" :p. I couldnt help but watch it.They were discussing about two disasters

1}2012(World disaster)
2)Tum Mile (Indian disaster(Mumbai rain washout))

I was astonished to hear from Aajtak guy that this movie costs a 1000 crore rupees(Wiki reconfirmed the fact). My heart almost came out of my mouth...I recited to myself i got to watch it 1st day 1st show to know how they could manage to spill 1000 crore on a movie. It was sure if the movie doesn’t deliver the goods the producer of the movie doest have to wait for 2012 to see 2012(destruction) :)

I called up my friend Anurag and after hearing about 1000 crore.Ussne bhi hami bhar di.(After all the costliest bollywood movie ever made "Blue", again box-office disaster, was made in only 130 crore). We thought we can shell out 90 bucks(morning show) to watch that the end of the world and humanity.

But lazy as we are .We missed out on 1st show thanks to our collective effort. Getting up at 9am was a challenge and even the excitement of watching the epic movie couldn’t wake us up from our deep slumber.

Aankh khuli toh suraj nikal chuka tha aur murge ne bhi baang dena band kar diya tha(9:45 am).We rushed to our nearby Inox to check for the tickets, unlucky we couldnot even get the tickets for afternoon show also.(such is the craze of movies in City of gardens....Baache kya, Auntiya kya, Maaye kya,Baapus kya sab pachuh jaa te hain cinema dekhne ).

Anyways we finally watched it in Vision cinema(1 pm show) and i must say i was completely awestruck to see what was their for offering. As a personal advice i would say it is the kind of a movie which should not be watched on laptops. If you do it, you will be missing out on the fun and total package it has to offer you.

So Ladies and Gentlemen, go ahead and watch this amzaing piece of art.:)

But on the lighter note, what if we were to die in 2012....then i will say its high time for me to leave my MBA study and start hopping on things i have planned to do after 2012(lyk marriage, family planning)  :)....but if we could survive 2012,then MBA will take the priority again.:)

He left a lot to be desired...

सो क्लोस येत सो फार....this one sentence tells the whole story for India in the recently played Hyderabad One-day International between India and Australia.Though i being kind of a  person who can even watch Zimbabwe vs Kenya match live,i missed out on Australia's runfest (or shall i say India's traumatic bowling display :)) as i was busy attending one seminar on MBA.

I somehow got to know the generosity of Indian Men from my friend sitting next to me in seminar as he blurted india let damn aussie score 350/4...i thought at that point we were down n out from the game...i became a little pessimist and unreasonalbe as well  as i  thought everybody in indian team specially bowlers shuld not be allowed to have their dinner today for their lackluster performance on the field ( Food for the thought).

Finally when i reached home...India was staring at  mammoth defeat with 40% of the team back in the pavillion even before reaching 150...n Sachin in 80's and nascent Raina on the crease., match was all but lost.

But Sachin and Raina had something else on their mind...Duo kept rotating strikes, hit odd boundaries to keep  India in check with runrate required....Sachin came to the party (after dull start to the series)just at the right time n hit Adam Vogues for magnificant six over bowler's head...Raina kaha peeche rahene wala tha...he too blasted a huge six over mid wicket...aachanak se Match interesting ban gaya tha yaaro..dil main umeed ki ek kiran dikhaiye de rahi thi...ki shayad unhoni ho jaye..shayad Cricketing God hum par meharbaan ho jaye..shayad..:)

As the match reached its climax and Sachin completed his 150...roar of the people on the ground was deafening and it could have easily been compared to the explosion that nuclear bomb created on Nagasaki and Hiroshima in 1945...people went absolutely crazy as India was on the doorstep of improbable win...a fairy tale win was on the card(as not everyday u get so close to chasing down totals of 350+)...with only 53 runs required from 42 balls with 6 wickets in hand, India was about to create history.....but ryte at this tyme only CG(cricketing god) stopped smiling at the Indians and turned his back at us.

Raina played overambitious pull shot and started India's debacle and rite at this instance my roomie Arif joined me to watch this engrossing match...moment he enters India was 5 down, n when he settled down India was 6 down(Harbhajan came and left without troubling scoreboard).Sachin was clueless as to what was happeing at the other end. Arif made the difference with his presence in the matter of 5 mins.

Sachin and Ravindra Jadeja, a class XII student ,were left to take India home...certain chemical locha and i was reminded of exactly the same situation India was in yr 1997 against Wasim Akram's Pakistan in Chennai...thr too India were struggling initially and Sachin Mongia partnership studied the boat and threatened to take game away from Pakis..but thr too foolish shot by Mongia(here Raina) made the difference and India lost the match by 12 runs.

I looked at Arif and he started sayin :"Meri kya galti hai be"...I said if we the lose the match from here...i will not watch cricket ever in my life (later i added for that day atleast :))...I prayed to almighty and mubbled please dont break billion hearts today bu almighty rejected my prayers all hands down.

Sachin who was playing so beautifully till then, succembed to the pressure yet again and ballooned simple catch to short fine leg and once again he could not finish the job at hands and started walking towards pavillion in total despair. I furiously looked at Arif but dint say a word...Arif and Sachin combo together broke a billion hearts on that fateful night as the rest batsmen could not do any heroics. I thanked Arif and Sachin for the defeat that night.Aussies again showed relentless fighting spirit to win the match from the jaws of defeat.

India always known for its generosity has once again gifted a match to the opposing team. I rate team India as the biggest chokers after South Africa.

On that night a thought crossed my mind....Sachin is the best batsman cricketing world has ever seen but is he the best when it comes winning matches under pressure cooker situations. I had to think hard as i could hardly recall 1 or 2 exceptional inings he played out of  his 1000 matches long career....this question is up for debate....at the end i would have to say he left a lot to be desired.

CAT : The most dreaded word in Indian History

Yeah its Official....CAT dreads more people(2.5 lakh approx evry yr) than a Lion does in his life time in India..such is the meow of this CAT that people lose their sleep, food and what not in the month of Nov-Dec..m taking CAT too this year...needless to say i lost my food appetite, got sleeping disorder, lost many strands of hair..but as the D day is approaching fast...i am getting butterflies too...thought of clearing it is too exciting topic to talk about.

Check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zaKHWpiFToE this video all my friends to know what to expect on CAT day...CAT this time has thrown some surprises by becoming India's first exam to go online(subsequently MAT and NMIMS follwed suit)...n secondly dont get surprised to see some of the Indian Jawans greeting you at your respective Test Centres..an initiative by IIMs to beef up the security.

As i conclude this post..i would like to wish all my friends a pot full of LUck to tame this dreaded cat for once and all..Enjoy..Cheers :)
